Are your products safe for nails and skin?
Yes! We use gentle, nail-friendly products that are free from harsh chemicals commonly found in traditional nail services. Our carefully selected formulas protect nail health and skin, while still providing long-lasting, high-gloss results for manicures, pedicures, gel services, and specialty treatments.
Do you offer gel, dip, or acrylic nails?
We do offer gel services. We do not offer dip or acrylic nails, but we provide healthier alternatives that give the same polished, durable look. We offer sculpted gel and gel x services that are gentle on natural nails, free from harsh chemicals, and designed to maintain nail strength while delivering long-lasting results.
What if I want longer or stronger nails?
We offer Gel-X soft extensions and sculpted gel options that create length and structure without the damage sometimes associated with acrylics or dips. Each service includes careful nail prep, cuticle attention, and long-lasting polish for a natural, elevated look.
Are gel services safe for my nails?
Yes! All of our gel services are formulated without the harsher chemicals found in traditional gels, protecting your nails while delivering a high-gloss, long-lasting finish. For nails needing extra strength or repair, we also offer the IBX treatment to restore and protect healthy growth.
Do you offer services for children?
Yes! Our Junior Works Mani/Pedi is designed for guests ages 12 and under. This kid-friendly service includes light nail shaping, gentle cuticle care, a mini massage, and polish application in fun, safe colors — a perfect introduction to nail care.
Do all services include a beverage?
Yes! Every service comes with a complimentary drink — choose from flat or sparkling water, coffee, tea, or a classic mimosa. We also feature a monthly specialty mimosa to celebrate the season.
Do you offer add-ons or customizations for services?
Yes! Our curated add-ons and gentle removals let you enhance your mani or pedi with extra shine, strength, creative details, or a healthy reset. Every upgrade is designed to meet your nails exactly where they are, giving you a custom experience with intention and care.
How do I know if my nails are healthy enough for gel or extensions?
Our nail technicians perform careful nail assessments before every service. We recommend treatments like IBX strengthening for nails that need extra support, ensuring your gel or extensions are applied safely and last longer.
Is PGH Nailworks & Co. a medispa?
No. While our salon was founded by a podiatrist and foot & ankle surgeon, PGH Nailworks & Co. is a nail salon focused on safe, healthy nail care. Our medical perspective informs our high sanitation standards and product choices, but all services are cosmetic and relaxing — not medical treatments.
